SF MOMA

the SF MOMA is the one place to see drawing restraint 9 and matthew barney's extensive installation exhibit right now. there's a whole floor of huge pieces, small sketches, and a retrospective of the earlier drawing restraints.

i went yesterday. really cool. i had already seen the film a few weeks ago in seattle, which made me a bit nauseous but was exremely interesting.

the things we lost in the fire

about four years ago i got a nagging feeling that all of my writing was destined to be burned to a crisp one day; my notebooks are always together in one place. so i compiled my favorites of my old poems and song lyrics, a few prose pieces and a story. i have pressed a few batches and i am down to the last few, that i bring around with me to the trespassers shows.
i was thinking of pressing some more, but i think rather that i will be putting together a newer book of just things i've written in the last 3 years.
however, split infinitive is still up on amazon and barnes & noble.
and there was never a fire, though there were four floods.
